screen reel is a collection of film works by nz independent experimental filmmaker cathy fitzgerald from 2008 onwards; these video works and experiments reflect her interests and influences in a long term art & ecology project where she is transforming a conifer monoculture plantation into a permanent forest, 'hollywood', in south carlow, ireland; she has also been involved in transforming national irish forest policy. her small forest 'hollywood' is now listed as the smallest close-to-nature permanent forest on the new university college dublin/coford database read more...
